Earlier collaboration between Chris and Fernanda Amaral and her dance company in Brazil, Dança sem Fronteiras, was funded by a British Council Unlimited Micro Award, supporting connections between UK and international disabled artists. Two short films that came out of this international work won laurels at the 2021 Together Film Festival. Click on the images to view the films.

Brazilian dance company, Dança sem Fronteiras, perform live in São Paulo. The song, São Paulo, was written by Chris. It is performed by Chris, Clovis Phillips and Caroline John. Produced and engineered by Clovis at Addaband Studios, Powys, Wales. Dança sem Fronteiras are Fernanda Amaral, Ana Mesquita, Lucineia Felipe dos Santos, Gabriel Sousa Domingues and Rafael Barbosa. Filmed by Fellipe Oliveira. This work was funded by Wales Arts International.
A collaboration between myself, Fernanda Amaral, a Bonnie Bird winner and São Paulo-based Brazilian dance company Dança sem Fronteiras, Skin, Muscle & Bone - Pele, Músculo & Osso, sees concrete and countryside collide.
The performance in the Weston Studio, Wales Millennium Centre on Wednesday 3rd July 2024 fused the language of dance-theatre with music and soundscape, along with my disability activism, into a cross-cultural cauldron of sound and vision.
